English Language Learner (ELL) Program

   

The Instructional Services Department includes the English Language Learner Program.

Mission

Based on results from benchmark and other common assessments, the Curriculum and Instruction Department will support parents and teachers as we strive to provide appropriate intervention and enrichment programs, as well as engage all students in superior targeted instruction that will prepare them for any life path they may choose.

District Advisory Committee

Along with certain staff, the District Advisory Committee (DAC)--which is open to the public--includes one parent from each of the site's School Site Councils. This group meets to share information among the sites, study instructional issues, approve school planning schedules, and make recommendations to the Board of Education as needed.

DAC meets at least five times yearly, typically during the last week of the month from 9-11 in the Board Room in the District Office. For more information, please contact Jose Reynoso, Director of Instructional Services. Go to the "News and Information" page for a posting of the next meeting.

Did You Know?

The Division of Instructional Services provides support services to schools and supervises the educational programs for students in grades K-12. Additionally, the Division acts as a liaison among the Divisions of Child Development, Adult Education and the Board of Education.
